Hoy es el aniversario del nacimiento de John Lennon y me inspiró esta obra. Cada parte de cada extremidad es de una figura femenina diferente, salvo una pierna, que es masculina, al igual que el tronco y el mentón. Los ojos son de una niña. ¿Qué es normal? ¿Qué es mejor o peor? Eso lo llevamos inculcado desde la cuna para vivir divididos o encontrar nuestra tribu, o ser ermitaños. Cada uno tiene su derecho legítimo de ser como quiera y creer en lo que quiera.

La figura está fuera del círculo y aunque su postura es un guiño al símbolo de la paz, pienso que la paz para John Lennon no fue algo estático o pasivo, si no una lucha activa contra el sistema.

El sistema es representado por el círculo y esos dientes afilados. Aunque nuestr@ protagonista cree estar fuera, el sistema irá en su contra y si no puede con él/ella, le abrazará y lo convertirá en un icono.

John Lennon no aparece aquí, ni su mano con el símbolo de victoria, ni las margaritas, ni la palabra peace ☮️, ni Yoko Ono o el LSD, solo un leve guiño en la pose de la figura y un escarabajo camuflado en la pulsera. Porque John Lennon era un activista, un guerrero que luchó por lo que creyó y por eso convertirlo en icono del mismo sistema contra el que luchó es para mí faltarle el respeto.

Pero no soy una experta en él, así que perdónenme si alguna de mis conclusiones es errónea.

Today is the anniversary of the birth of John Lennon and that inspired me to create this work. Each part of each limb is of a different female figure, except for one leg, which is male, as are the trunk and chin. The eyes are of a girl. What is normal? What is better or worse? We have instilled that from the cradle to live divided or find our tribe, or be hermits. Everyone has their legitimate right to be who they want and believe in what they want.

The figure is outside the circle and although his posture is a nod to the symbol of peace, I think that peace for John Lennon was notsomething static or passive, but an active fight against the system.

The system is represented by the circle and those sharp teeth. Although our protagonist believes he is out, the system will go against him and if it cannot defeat him, it will embrace him and turn him into an icon.

John Lennon does not appear here, nor his hand with the symbol of victory, nor the daisies, nor the word peace ☮️, nor Yoko Ono or LSD, just a slight wink in the pose of the figure and a camouflaged beetle on the bracelet. Because John Lennon was an activist, a warrior who fought for what he believed in and that is why turning him into an icon of the same system he fought against is disrespecting him.

But I’m not an expert on him, so forgive me if any of my conclusions are wrong.
